01 June 2010

my heaven these days

I've been doodling so much lately, I haven't been writing.  I've been reading and thinking so much, I haven't been writing.  Have you ever had a rebirth or rediscovery of a gift in you...that at one time you thought was lost? Last year during a turbulent time I picked up my markers again.  And so it began...again. Now i find my self holding 4-5 markes or pens in my hands at all time. I've got pads of paper in all sizes EVERYWhere.

I'm inspired to go through old things and pull out this history of the visual thinker in me....and watch the rest of the story unfold.  The coolest part is, I know there is a Future...with a capital F in this story.

I've had all these crazy cool teachers show up in my life....
i just met Bryon Katie last week!
MAPS BOLD program has supported me financially and emotionally over the last year.
Lee Mannix taught me so much in his death and I find myself beginning to really become a bit more comfortable with who I am.  I'm shedding some layers and getting comfortable in the layers that are really me.
Courtney Crow Wyrtzen teaches me all the time....and did especially in this editorial about moms.
Dr. Wayne W. Dwyer (listening to the power of intention on itunes)
Oh...and all the beloved books by my bedside....(thanks nikki for sharing the Renard book).

At this moment....I'm in heaven in my life....and I'm thankful.

My List for the day

List of the day comes from really trying to be focused on gratitude. So often the sky is falling around us and there is so much to worry about.  My lists are little efforts to put down in writing, and be grateful for- the simple things in my everyday life.  I encourage you to write down, everyday, a list of things you are grateful for....and see if your life doesn't get deliciously better real quick. As Dianna Kokoszka often says,
Change the way you look at things,                                                  and the things you look at change.

  1. Dinner with my family around this round table and goodthing/badthing conversation we play. Each person tells one good thing and one bad thing that happened that day. Even my teenagers will talk using goodthing/badthing.
  2. My teenage son Will is now driving his own vehicle....Parental Bus duties have dropped dramatically since he turned 16 (Lord, I am grateful AND please keep him safe).
  3. Honey Bunches of Oats cereal any time of the day for a tasty treat.
  4. www.LMCCB.com and all the training and great advice I got from Lee and Kimberley and Sherri --if your dogs are controlling your life get help! I look at my 3 dogs--and they are truly daily treasures in my life..and in my families-----> thanks to the training!
  5. Teaching classes in our market center about things I'm passionate about or enjoy- how cool is it to get paid for this!
  6. Girl Scout cookies: Thin Mint and Lemonade.
  7. That Girl Scout cookies are only sold once a year.
  8. clean sheets and a tightly made bed- thanks billy
  9. My mother in law- I got a sweet card from her Saturday and It made me all warm and fuzzy.
  10. My own mom...who called me tonight and who is always there for me...is happy for me to come by anytime and who gifts me with fun socks on special occasions.

7.   http://agentgenius.com/?cat=673  ok so I find many, many things on AgentGenius’ site and I find it cool that they are here in Austin, Texas, my hometown.  I chose the subject of “Coaching” because, DUH, that is what I do and can’t help be driven to drive your mind to resources other than straight real estate that include ways to become your very best self.  From the category of “coaching” aka=673…you can find the pure homepage and explore from there – you won’t be disappointed.  Again….a gathering of many minds and authors.

8.   I promise to get back to real estate soon…but don’t they say 98% of success is the mind.http://blogs.briantracy.com/public/blog/149495 Brian Tracy- well if I actually knew him in person I would say he was my HOMIE for sure. I was introduced to his books and thinking by my CPA and have never been the same since. Subscribe to his blog to consume good, healthy, life-giving mind food.

9.   http://www.problogger.net/ I have learned more about effective blogging and tweeting from this one site. @problogger was one of the first people I followed and the information and advice he gives is top notch. Excellent resources for the beginning blogger, and the experienced!

10.I'll finishing this list by Cheating—I wanted to limit my first list to TEN however as a bonafide information junkie I can’t let you not know that there is so much more out there. From http:http://blog.sellsiusrealestate.com/   is a link to the Inman News’  Top 25 Most Influential Real Estate Bloggers of 2008 (Sellsius Real Estate is one of the picks) These include Brokers and Agents, Community Blogs, Mortgage,  Housing Economics, Industry Commentary, Marketing & How-to, Company, Journalist, and Housing Bubble bloggers.

11.Ok…and I have to add myself and therefore broke the limit of TEN (if you know me I’m usually pushing the limits and breaking the rules somewhat anyway).  I’m not tooting my own horn, yet, but I have been sharing coaching thoughts with, like, 12 people who read my coaching blog (actually I think I have a whopping 26 readers). My own thoughts are there, and even more important, my passion for introducing you to all these other thinkers out there.  If you visit http://www.crowscouch.com, well, I’m just happy to be LAST on your list!

There are SO many I have left off this list….THIS time.  Don’t worry, I can’t keep my big smiling mouth shut and you may very well make the list next time!

Trash List

Have you ever actually thought about how truly good it is to have a garbage collector come on a regular basis. Today, this is #1 on my "list for the day" (gratitude list).

After a fantastic team meeting today and thanks to our sponsor bringing a great lunch....there was a bunch of trash. Since our office is "my home" for most of the day...I loaded up the 3 kitchen cans and the leftover trays and headed to the dumpster outside the office....Hands very full and wearing THESE SHOES. So....walkwalkwalkwalkwalkwalk....shift bags....walkwalkwalkwalk.....walk a little more and finally much to the relief of my blistered foot, I arrive at the dumpster....FULL...to overflowing. Hmmm....Trash is supposed to come on the weekends... I remember the dumpster in the now empty other building thinking it would be empty....
So i begin again, thinking --"it is a lovely day and I'm glad to be outside" and then ...walkwalkwalkwalkwalkwalk....shift bags....walkwalkwalkwalk.....walk a little more and then walk just a little bit more. Other dumpster full too. Fortunately this one had an empty box I was able to put my bags in.
On the way back to the office I was thinking...I really do need to walk during the day more often..just not in THESE SHOES....but for the fact that it is someones job to come a take all this junk we throw away...and if they didn't come...we'd be neck high by Wednesday.

one quick call to the landlord and the dumpsters were emptied within the hour :)
so my list for today:
1. garbage collection...and those who do it...I appreciate the work you do.
2. THESE SHOES- my feet may hurt just a tad....bud damn I look good!
